Living in Arequipa for a couple months now and needing to use western union every 2 weeks, I have noticed that western union does not staff enough employees to successfully take care of their customers in a timely manner. If waiting in line for over 2 hours each time to process a western union transaction is your form of excellent customer service, Hikmet Ersek (CEO of Western Union) you have sadly misunderstoud what true customer service ought to be.I hope this review serves as a reminder that the most important thing you can strategically do as a company is to take into account your customers.Now, the employees are wonderful--kind and sympathetic, but we all know this failure is due to the poor management and ultimately holds Hikmet Ersek accountable for this mistake.

Manly Matt Schulman: Highly recommended. Although almost every hotel we stayed in on our Peru trip was a Casa Andina property, this was the best of them. The location is close enough to the center of town to be easily walkable, but out of its busiest area. It is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff was helpful and polite. As a side note, we came with rudimentary Spanish, but didn't need it here -- the staff's English was far better than our Spanish. The breakfast was impressive, even including a pleasant performance by a local musician. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and they even included a little nosh as a treat for our anniversary. Certainly a fine place to stay when you visit Arequipa.
