Tigi Saron Manfroi: This hotel is one of the best and busiest hotels for its location, with enough space and cleanliness. We have traveled to many places, but we have never seen workers as arrogant as the ones that work in this specific hotel. Without Roberto from the reception and José from the restaurant, this hotel would have been the worst place to stay.But I don't want to leave without mentioning the view of the cathedral from that point is impeccable especially at night.

Leonel Basso: An amazing place. We traveled from Argentina by car and we did not plan to go through Arequipa. We arrived at night and found this hotel. They helped us with everything right away. Ricardo Rojas: They really deserve 5 stars, good service, hospitality, closeness, disposition, facilities, cleanliness and the breakfast is really delicious. They supported me and were present from before my arrival and until when I had checked out of the hotel they were willing to support me with a mishap that I had during the trip and as I am a foreigner I had no one else to turn to. Mike Gross: Rooms: We got a superior room which certainly was more spacious than the standard rooms.Excellent bed, good linens, good shower pressure heat.The one downside is the superior rooms look out over the street. Not bad except on a festival night!Safety: Felt totally safe at all hours.Staff were outstanding.Walkability: Half block from the main plaza and very easy walking to all the best sights, lively with restaurants. Really this historical area is THE place to stay!Noteworthy details: They have a cute breakfast room and made to order breakfast options were very good. Also a deck off break fast room if you prefer eating outside.Bonus: two excellent rooftop decks. We bought bevvies at the market and loved sitting up there for breaks in the afternoon or evening.They arranged for a very nice transfer car to/from airport. Excellent option.When we went on our 16 hour trek to Colca Canyon that started at 3:30 am they prepared a meal to go for us ready at reception!Kept our luggage after we checked out.All in all excellent service. The entire team at Tierra Viva in Arequipa (and Lima Miraflores) has been nothing but accommodating in taking care of little things, like storing our luggage when we were out of town AND bringing it upstairs without being asked, being greeted at the door, courtesy chocolates and fantastic (and included) breakfast service. The rooms are well appointed and quaint but stylishly furnished. People make the difference and the staff's kindness was remarkable. Backpack & us: If you like your sleep, don’t stay hereIf you want value for your money, don’t stay hereIf you want a decent breakfast where the additional milk for your coffee isn’t 2/s and you actually eat something decent, don’t stay hereThere is a nightclub that blasts music all night everyday until 5h30 am, we stayed in room 21 which is next to the reception, very unprofessional decision to allow guest to stay there as it faces the nightclub.The facilities in the room are neglected, the office chair is broken and the soundproofing is useless.That room is also just behind the reception so you hear the reception bell and nightclub if that isn’t enough to turn you down and destroy your night sleep.They provide you ear plugs but they are useless and cheap so you will still hear the noise.We initially booked 5 nights but canceled everything after the first night of no sleep and went somewhere decent.For the price of the night, you can easily find somewhere better and get a good experience of Arequipa.Avoid at all cost

Tessa VO: I would not recommend this place. We payed for a room with a view (a balcony) and the view was very limited. This was however not the worst. Around 8PM the music in the neighbourhood starts to get really loud. But like REALLY. We did not sleep well at this place. Around 4AM the music stops. Shomel: Great accommodation that looks at the little things such as organizing tours for you, having showers you can use after checking out and organizing a breakfast for you even at 3am.The bars surrounding can be a little loud so be aware of that
