Tim Delaney: Basic hostel located just a few blocks from the main plaza. The rooms are very simple. I had a private room with a private bath. The were no windows and felt damp inside. The common areas are open and spacious and the upper patio is a must see during sunset. The staff were very friendly and translated in english very well. The breakfast is basic, day old bread with butter and jam and a cup of coffee or tea. Better to go outside for a full meal.

Vapali Pou: We booked the double room with private bathroom. There was a 24hour reception. The room was big and there was a lot of space. It was very close to the city center. Friendly staff.We were cold during our stay. The breakfast only had two options. Our room and bathroom could have been cleaner. They didn't clean our room and we stayed 4 days there. We paid a whole day even though we arrived at 5 in the morning. For what is was we would expect a cheaper price.

Tigi Saron Manfroi: This hotel is one of the best and busiest hotels for its location, with enough space and cleanliness. We have traveled to many places, but we have never seen workers as arrogant as the ones that work in this specific hotel. Without Roberto from the reception and José from the restaurant, this hotel would have been the worst place to stay.But I don't want to leave without mentioning the view of the cathedral from that point is impeccable especially at night.

Manly Matt Schulman: Highly recommended. Although almost every hotel we stayed in on our Peru trip was a Casa Andina property, this was the best of them. The location is close enough to the center of town to be easily walkable, but out of its busiest area. It is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff was helpful and polite. As a side note, we came with rudimentary Spanish, but didn't need it here -- the staff's English was far better than our Spanish. The breakfast was impressive, even including a pleasant performance by a local musician. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and they even included a little nosh as a treat for our anniversary. Certainly a fine place to stay when you visit Arequipa.

Sumit Shrestha: Loved this hotel. The hospitality was perfect. The location was in perfect location. The old style building at the reception was really speaking of the colonial past of this city. The rooms themselves were of average size. The paintings on the walls were really good. The decor on the reception reminded me of the past something I wanted to experience in Arequipa. Highly recommended if you’re in this city. They even provided with box breakfast at four in the morning, which was something new for us on our two weeks trip all across peru.

Remy Audel: If you want a 5-star service experience at a reasonable price, don't look anywhere else. The entire team at Tierra Viva in Arequipa (and Lima Miraflores) has been nothing but accommodating in taking care of little things, like storing our luggage when we were out of town AND bringing it upstairs without being asked, being greeted at the door, courtesy chocolates and fantastic (and included) breakfast service. The rooms are well appointed and quaint but stylishly furnished. People make the difference and the staff's kindness was remarkable. William Gordillo: es un trato frío y poca orientación a la solución. Las habitaciones son amplias pero con muebles que dan aspecto de "vejez". El hotel está ubicado en el centro histórico así que para viaje de negocios puede no ser conveniente! El desayuno me sorprendió que no es acorde al tipo de hotel y tarifa pagada. Asi mismo en la noche no hay servicio restaurante, es decir faltan comodidades. La elección de este hotel no fue mía pero he tenido mejores experiencias por el mismo valor en la ciudad de Arequipa!(Translated by Google
