Emanuele Militello: My favourite restaurant in Arequipa. I normally don't choose vegetarian sushi, but this place does some of the best sushi I've ever had (so much so I went twice).It's also really well priced. I'd recommend going for the nigiris and gunkan with the makis, and trying the ceviche which is a get vegan take on a classic.The courtyard is also really cool and representative of the city's architecture.

Pour le reste c'était bon mais rien d'extraordinaire. Les saveurs n'étaient pas dingues. C'était assez fade. Les tailles étaient assez petites mais ce n'est pas cher donc c'est normal.Le décor est sublime, très sobre à la japonaise. Il faisait un peu froid aussi car les portes sont ouvertes sur l'extérieur. Nous avons mangé en manteau. Dommage

Valentin Poussier: C'est délicieux mais peu copieux si on veut s'en sortir pour moins de 50 soles par personne.La soupe miso est un régal, mais même pour 5 soles, elle est ridiculement petite (une tasse de café).Les gyozas ne sont pas hyper garnis mais excellents.Les sushis également, même si dans les combos à 16 pièces, il y a 6 makis minuscules avec seulement du riz et un tout petit bout soit d'avocat, soit d'épinard.Les autres pièces sont succulentes, on en oublie que c'est du végétalien même lorsque l'on a l'habitude de manger des sushis classiques.Le service est correct quoique assez froid, on n'entend presque pas les serveurs parler qui marmonnent tout bas on ne sait pourquoi (les deux qu'on a eu en tout cas).

Karl Schmiedel: Very nice place to enjoy a cocktail and the sunset - might really be the best of rooftop bars that I’ve visited in Arequipa. Located on top of hotel “le foyer”.Can only recommend the pisco sour workshops in the afternoon. Very friendly team, a variety of flavors which they steep into the pisco themselves. My favorite is the maracuya and sancaya, the latter also known as colca sour. Special thanks to Lisbeth for the insights into pisco culture!

Stev: During my stay the food was very good but the service could be a lot improved.We arrived around 6pm and although it was cold we could not sit inside. This is only possible as of 7pm. I was freezing. They did not use the heating bulbs. Service was taking a long time to take our order, although our drinks were empty they never offered a re-order. Also they never asked us whether everything was good, also not when we paid. Seemed very inattentive to us as customers overall. Besides that, a great place. The recipes are superb.

Timothy J Sayer: I found this a little disappointing for a few reasons.Having not been able to get in to the Lima restaurant, I was keen to come here and try some of Gaston's food.The chupe Andino was nice and had pops of flavour that I enjoyed, having not had anything similar before. I had no serviettes or cutlery apart from a spoon to eat the corn with which was a hassle.I then had the pulpo a la brasa, and I honestly can't understand why this had no flavour, even with olives and capers in the dish. The chimichurri had zero flavour which I don't understand how that's even possible and if I was blindfolded, I would never have guessed that the octopus was grilled. It was sadly an oily, flavourless dish.My side plate, bread basket and butter still remained after the main was cleared even though I'd finished before the starter arrived. I also waited to be offered deserts but the offer didn't come.I so wanted to have a great experience here, but sadly I didn't.
Luke Costa: We were literally just looking to try chicha de guiñapo, a fermented purple corn drink that only comes from Arequipa, and this was one of the only places we could find that sold it.Although more of a restaurant, the staff allowed us to sit at the bar whilst then providing us a complimentary selection of local breads and butters. Excellent hospitality and a beautiful restaurant.

Francesca is celiac as well! It was a relief to meet someone who understood. I ate here with confidence that my food was really gluten free. She also gave us tips on other places to eat gluten free in Arequipa, and foods to avoid. Thank you Francesca!

Stefan Weninger: Wir sind durch die guten Bewertungen auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden und wurden nicht enttäuscht.Wir waren um 18:30 die einzigen Gäste, was absolut unverständlich ist. Das Personal konnte englisch und war sehr bemüht. Ich habe zum ersten Mal Alpakasteak gegessen und war total begeistert. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gebraten und sehr köstlich. Außerdem hatten wir noch ein Lammsteak mit Avocadosalat, einen Eisbecher, ein Glas Wein und einen grosen frischen Saft. Für insgesamt 30€ und im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Restaurants in der Umgebung ein Topf-Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.Zum Abschluss gabs noch 2 Piscos aufs Haus.Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön, das einzig störende war anfangs der laute Fernseher, der dann aber gegen Musik getauscht wurde.Wir hatten einen schönen Abend mit super Essen und würden sicher wiederkommen.

Betty Muroya: Excellent service, the man who served us was very kind explaining what the dishes consisted of, the food was delicious, we ordered alpaca with quinoa salad, a stuffed rocoto, quinoa soup with vegetables and a lomo saltado. The place is beautifully decorated in the Arequipa style and the walls are made of ashlar. Highly recommended.
