The food is absolutely delicious. I ate there three days in a row during my time in Arequipa. I tried the Alpaca, Cuy (Guinea Pig) and Ceviche dishes. Don't be confused. You can eat all these dishes in other places in Peru but at Sonccollay they are prepared the way people ate them before the Inca Empire conquered the various pre-Columbian cultures that existed around the Andes in ancient times. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you visit Arequipa. The entrance is at the corner of the Plaza and don't be surprised if you don't find people standing outside trying to convince you to come in like all the other restaurants in the Plaza. Ciao-jie Syu: Good service with delicious local food, cheap with quality food!! The staff were really nice, the staff understood we don’t understand the Menu, so he help us out to translate the dishes name. The Menu is included drink, appetizers, meal, dessert with 13 soles. highly recommended it.

Anne van Jaarsveld: Perfect place for great lunch menu deal!! Nice atmosphere, super friendly (and english speaking) staff and good food! The set lunch menu includes a choice of starter, choice of main dish, dessert, and drink of the Day including refills. And all this for only 13 soles! Would highly recommend :) perfect location in the center close to plaza armas.
