Giardino Tour Operator Perú: what do users think?
Ash K: Had an awesome trip to the Colca Canyon with Jesus and Julio. Jesus is so knowledgable and friendly, we felt instantly in safe hands. The accommodation was lovely - it even had hot showers which we weren’t expecting! The only reason I have given this 4 stars rather than 5 is because for the lunch and dinner on the first day, the only option available was to eat at the hotel, which was fine but it cost 35 soles each. Which isn’t too bad, but if you are a backpacker on a budget - it’s quite steep for both meals! As it is the only food option available, I think it should be included in the price of the tour. Other than that, great trip, thank you so much Julio & Jesus. 😊
Radoslava Kacherilska: We booked our 14-day South Peru trip with Giardino and we are absolutely delighted! They organized everything perfectly and chose the best guides in English in every city. Most of our excursions were private, considering our personal interests and comfort. Special thanks to Antonio, our guide in Arequipa and Colca canyon, who is the best and made our trip to the canyon an unforgettable experience!
Weeble L: We had an exceptional tour with Giardino Tours while in Arequipa and Colca Canyon, thru to Puno. The tour was booked through the tour company so we were not sure what to expect. Both were group tours but the first ended up being just my husband and I and the colca canyon tour only had 5 people. We were lucky enough to have the same guide for both tours. Antonio is amazing. His passion, love, and knowledge of his city and country is infectious. Without Antonio it would have just been another tour. We did many tours in the two weeks we were there and Antonio was the best guide by far. We were disappointed when we had to leave us in Puno.
Carola Patricia Bellina Santti: Really SUPER RECOMMENDED, Herbert and our guide Elar are a perfect duo, I traveled with my youngest daughter of 9 years and it was a nice experience, you can see the professionalism and seriousness in their work of both people, as well as punctuality in departures and arrivals throughout the tour.I feel very satisfied to have chosen them, it's the second time I've done it and with the same company GIARDINO, I think I'm already excited for the third one hahaha,Blessings and thank you very much.
Dayana Lipe: From Giardino we would like to highlight ADELA's attention and kindness from the moment we entered the agency with the sole intention of asking questions. She was attentive to us during the whole tour at all times, always answering our questions with great kindness, and making sure that everything went as planned. Our tour was from Ica-Paracas-Nazca, and everything went perfectly. In addition to this I must highlight the work of the guides, especially ALBERTO, who was our guide in Paracas, and HILDA and the driver who accompanied her in Nazca, giving us detailed information unlike other guides from other agencies who only stick to the basics.Thank you Giardino tours!
Elize: Had an amazing trip to the Colca canyon with Giardino tours. Our guide Maya had so much knowledge about everything we saw and proudly explained us about her country and culture. Unfortunately we got sick during the trip. Our guide was really helpful and eventually called a doctor for us. She translated during his visit. We are so thankful for her help! Definitely recommend!
Chloé Cabantous: We had an exceptional experience with Giardino Tour and highly recommend to book with them in the region of Arequipa. We especially enjoyed our tours at Laguna de Salinas and Canyon del Colca with our guide Elar. Elar is a very professional and knowledgeable tour guide who gave us lots of insights on the places we visited. He is very kind and also an engaging storyteller which made the trip even more fun! Giardino Tour is a reliable agency. They are punctual, provide good recommendations and communicate effectively through whatsapp as well. Thank you for the best trip and memories in Arequipa!
Noemi Navas Alonso: A very professional Arequipa travel agency. Personalized treatment, well-prepared tours with quality guides and accommodation. Our guide Luis Ángel was great. He provided a lot of information from the first moment in a pleasant and well-founded way. It is noticeable that he prepares the excursions and adds current data and curiosities. The driver Richard was friendly and wise.
Jesús Caudeli: We visited the Colca Canyon and the experience has been great from the first moment. Carla has been watching over us before, during and after the excursion, taking care of us with great kindness and efficiency.During the tour, Luis Ángel has been a fantastic guide, he is a true storyteller full of knowledge and a sense of humor. Richard is a friendly and prudent driver. It is the first time that I have not been afraid in a vehicle in Peru!
In generale un buon servizio!
Mary A: I decided to hire a travel agency for Arequipa as this was the first time for my 11 year old daughter in the Andes. Best decision! We felt safe and well taken care from day one. The agency helped us with all the arrangements to make our stay relax and pleasant. In the end it was me the one suffering from altitude sickness but our tour guide had lot of experience and she helped me to go through it with love and care. We thank our both tour guides Gerbert and Olivia for being so passionate about the stories they shared, for taking care of us and for showing us Arequipa and their beautiful places. I’ll definitely recommend Giardiano tours to my family and friends.
Miguel Cayon Ruisanchez: Our experience with Giardino tours was unbeatable. We did 2d1n in the Colca Canyon with our guide Beti and everything was incredible. In addition, Karla was always very kind during the organization and helped us a lot with the search for transport, beyond what was contracted with Giardino tours. Thank you very much for that Karla!
Sylvain H: Our tour of the Colca canyon with Luis Angel and Julio was amazing. The size of the group is the right one and the knowledge of the guide was exactly what was needed during these 2 days.We had a lot of history on all the landscape and the inhabitants of the region as well as many tips on local traditions.Really recommend Giardino tour for tours from Arequipa.
C C: We booked our 2 days/1 night Colca Tour and transfer to Puno with Giardino Tours. Since we had our accommodation in the Colca valley already booked and wanted to transfer to Puno not directly but after some days the schedule of the tour had to be adjusted. Adela took care of everything and was checking on us frequently via our tour guide or directly via WhatsApp. We were told the names of our tour guides/taxidrivers and the pick-up times in advance and never got forgotten or were late.Giardino Tours has some companies they work with, so we did the Colca canyon tour with Colonial Tours (which was great!) (maybe it is cheaper if you book directly with them), and the transfer to Puno with another company ( forgot the name, but it was okay, since the tour guide wasn't that good and we had some delay arriving in Puno).Although the prices are higher if you compare them to the prices you can get in the city centre of Arequipa for the same tour we chose Giardino Tours because they seemed to be more professional (they have a proper office instead of being located in some tourist shop) and only had good reviews comparing to other tour operators. Since we booked the Colca tour plus the transfer we got some discount on the final price. Summarising it was a good experience and we would recommend to book with this tour operator being aware that you are paying a higher price than in other places.
Olga Ahn: we had a really great experience with Giardino tours! We did a tour to Salinas Lake. The tour guide was super professional and the service overall was excellent. Highly recommended!!!

PERU ADVENTURE TOURS E.I.R.L: what do users think?
Warner en Anita Tiemensma/van Brederode: Uitstekende organisatie. Reageert snel op vragen in e-mail. We hebben de private tour “DAY TOUR AND HIKE IN THE LAGUNA DE SALINAS AREQUIPA” gedaan en dit was een perfecte dag, mede door onze gids en chauffeur!
Haiduc Cosmin: Trully recomended!Well organised, good equipment and fair price!
Marisol Cainero: There is all that I love
Mo Al: These guys are hero's!First very sincere and faithful in their work. They did their best for us to bring us in safety during the demonstrations. They took care of us the whole trip and offered food and drinks as if we were their family or friends. Saul and Carlos were driving very careful and very professional. They know the way as experts.More important is the clear communication and honesty. They knew that we were in emergency and wanted to leave the country but they didn't make use of that to ask more money. They requested exactly the usual price of the tour from Arequipa to Puno.Thank you guys, we trusted our lives in your hands and you were very adequate.
Eliáš Slunečko: Scammers. I tried to rent a car. The company asked me to send money (1500USD) on private account. All the certification on their website is more than 10years old. Definitely frauds. I consulted that case with our Embassy.
Fabienne Peter: You want some fresh air and silence? We booked the half-day trekking on the Misti-volcano. Our guides Marcello and Marco Antonio were always really friendly and told us a lot about the peruvian culture. At our top we had a stunning view at sunset. It was just amazing, thanks a lot!
El Mer: There are dozens of travel agencies but if you choose Peru Adventure Tours, you won't be disappointed...at least for us, it was a very good choice! First, the site of this agency is visible on the Net. It is so extensive (even to excess ;-) ) that you have all the useful and necessary explanations, ranging from the description of the different tours by category, with what is included or not, recommendations, how to book , payment methods, terms and conditions, FAQs… in short, everything from A to Z! No surprises on arrival! The adventure began in 2019 with the reservation for autumn 2020... as the coronavirus arrived, the postponement to 2021 or even 2022 was immediately proposed by Saul Ceron, the director of the agency. Peru only reopened its borders in mid-2021 and Saul advised us not to rush... the postponement to 2022 was very good advice! The day before the first tour allows us to take stock with the staff. We also met Saul who offered us some modifications. He was very good advice once again and we really appreciated the changes.Bike tour in Colca Canyon, transfer to Puno, excursion to lake Titicaca, transfer from Puno to Cusco via Langui Lake and three other lakes and bike tour, four days Inca trail trek, Maras Moray Ollantaytambo Pisac … super wow tours !In addition to the great landscapes, you can count on the competence and kindness of the guides and drivers, on their knowledge, on their humor, on equipment in very good condition (mountain bike in this case), on a car that is always very clean despite all the dust stirred up… wow wow wow! Great times! Thank you to all of you who make Peru Adventure Tours a great agency and allow us to have an amazing vacation! We will not forget your address if we return to Peru!
Raffaela Ackermann: We had an amazing adventure climbing Chachani in one day - thanks so much! Everything was perfectly organised, our guide Jarly was just perfect and we loved it!
Betrouwbare tour. Top dag gehad!
marco mayta: An incredible adventure tourism travel agency!!!
Emily Zhang: Great tour company! We did the Isla Ballesta and Huachina tour. Our tour guide ROSE was amazing! Rose and the tour company made everything super convenient and easy for us. For example, they picked us up from our hotel on time and took care of our luggage by keeping it in the car. We were dropped off with Rose to Isla Ballesta, and she handled the tickets for the boat ride. The boat tour was incredible and had English translation too! We saw many sea lions and penguins which was amazing. Ride was def windy so bring a jacket (November is when we went).Once we got back to main land, we went to Huachina. Rose was extremely knowledgable and give us a great backstory of the area. Rose was with us the whole time. We did the sand dune ride and the driver was AWESOME. The best sand dune ride of my life, the driver took many exciting and fun paths that made the ride extremely thrilling. Best part Rose came with us which was nice. Our driver also stopped at a nice top spot to watch the sunset which was not in the scheduled plan, which made the experience more authentic and genuine.Overall, my family and I had a great experience with this tour company and Rose is the best! Highly recommend.
Jose Cueva: Excellent service
Ivan Dillinger: On Thursday 23rd of January 2020 we had absolutely amazing tour COMPLETE EXCURSION TO RESERVA NACIONAL DE AGUADA BLANCA Y LAGUNA Salinas.Prior the tour I contacted Peru adventures via email. All communication was clear and good organized. We had pick up at our hotel at 6:15 am on Thursday 23rd of January. Our driver Saul Ceron and our guide Salome Gomez were waiting for us with comfortable 4x4 suv Toyota. We departed shortly after and head to national reservation. Our first stop was in small village Chiguata with beautiful church and square. After approx 2 hours we arrived to laguna Salinas. Amazing view and short trek for 1 hour around. Trek was quite challenging because of hight altitude. Our guide Salome adjusted to us. She is very attentive and she helped us with high altitude sickness. She offered us some cocca leaves and explained how them work and how we should chew them. She gave us excellent information about nature and history. As well we get to know plant Chachacoma which helped a lot.Later on we continued to rock forest of Puruña. On the way we saw plenty of lamas and alpacas. We were lucky to see Vicuñas.When we arrived, we had a snack - chocolate, banana and orange. To gain some energy. Rock forest offered astonishing views. This place is a hidden gem. We were also lucky to see El Misti mountain when clouds shattered.Followed by a lunch in small restaurant. Lunch and drinks were include with selections of many sandwiches and soft drinks.I have to say that our guide Salome is absolutely amazing. Far above expectations. She is very funny, attentive, carrying and super knowledgeable. She told us some much about Peruvian nature and culture. She took pictures of us on various viewpoints. She encouraged us on treks and had plenty of useful tips to help us with high altitude. It was genuine pleasure to spend time with her.Our driver Saul was great as well. Funny and professional. We felt very save when he was driving on bumpy roads. He definitely knows how to handle difficult roads and we enjoyed magnificent views on the way.Thank you Salome and Saul for this experience. This was absolutely fantastic tour and we enjoyed every second.Warm regards boys from Czech RepublicDaniel + Ivan + Ondra.
Hamish McIlveen: Bought a ticket with this company from Uyuni to La Paz. The blockades in La Paz caused the bus to be cancelled. No refund was given
Elena Boschini: Awesome company! Elida is the best guide ever! Super passionate and knowledgeable about her country and culture.
H. Stephen Olson: Saul Ceron in Arequipa is a very poor communicator and unprofessional booking agent. Didn't return emails, did not respond to questions and on the last day before my tour was supposed to happen I was told by the agency the tour would not happen. I walked to the office 3 times in 3 days and was disappointed at every interaction. I would recommend not using this company and instead working with the smaller more genuine agencies around the town.
becky dieffenbach: Had a wonderful experience going to the Reserva National for a half day with our trusty guide Johan. Johan was thoughtful and knowledgeable, always checking in to see how we were doing and sharing with us information about Misti and the area. I would recommend Peru Adventure Tours and especially Johan!
Clipton Mayhua Coaquira: Travel agency with different programs for all tastes
Simran Afsah: I do not recommend Peru Adventure Tours. We went in to schedule a mountain bike excursion with the agency and we were told (and confirmed by their website) that the tour would include an hour and a half ride up the mountain and 3 hours on the bike. Additionally, were guaranteed an english speaking guide. In the end, we ended up spending 1.5 hours in the car, as expected, but only 1.5 hours on the bike. Also, the guide did not speak English and even told me that at one point he could speak english conversationally, but now he cannot (I speak Spanish so i could understand all this, but my partner does not and this proved to be a difficulty.) Lastly, the guide provided no information during the tour-- he didn't tell us where we were going, how long we would be on the bikes, or anything about the surroundings--instead, he kept talking to me about his girlfriends... We requested a refund from the shop and we were given a small percentage of our money back after significant hassle. Overall, this was a bad experience!
Lorenzo Pierini: Molto precisi e affidabili.

Casa Andina Premium Arequipa: what do users think?
Ebert Gustavo Aponte Valdiviezo: Casa Andina Private Collection Arequipa is built on the old Casa de la Moneda, a national historic monument built in 1794, which makes our hotel more of a living museum than a hotel. Its strategic location just a few blocks from Arequipa's Plaza de Armas make it the ideal option for business travelers and tourists. It has 40 rooms – 100% non-smoking, including an Imperial Suite and two Senior Suites.
Tony G.: Very nice hotel and close to everything in the colonial part of Arequipa. Breakfast was excellent and room was very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
Elizabeth liz: Very expensive and regular flavors of the food, I could only go back for the place
Hugo Andres Gomero Guerra: Very good attention, since I arrived. Very friendly hotel staff. The buffet breakfast service is very good as always. It is always comfortable to stay at Casa Andina.
Tino Basso: The excellent service. Everyone very attentive. The rooms could be better for a 5 ⭐.The precise location.
Manuel Borja: Nice hotel with good location and excellent service!
Manly Matt Schulman: Highly recommended. Although almost every hotel we stayed in on our Peru trip was a Casa Andina property, this was the best of them. The location is close enough to the center of town to be easily walkable, but out of its busiest area. It is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff was helpful and polite. As a side note, we came with rudimentary Spanish, but didn't need it here -- the staff's English was far better than our Spanish. The breakfast was impressive, even including a pleasant performance by a local musician. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and they even included a little nosh as a treat for our anniversary. Certainly a fine place to stay when you visit Arequipa.
Soledad Cunliffe: Wonderful stay. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very nice and quiet.

Le Foyer Arequipa: what do users think?
Backpack & us: If you like your sleep, don’t stay hereIf you want value for your money, don’t stay hereIf you want a decent breakfast where the additional milk for your coffee isn’t 2/s and you actually eat something decent, don’t stay hereThere is a nightclub that blasts music all night everyday until 5h30 am, we stayed in room 21 which is next to the reception, very unprofessional decision to allow guest to stay there as it faces the nightclub. The facilities in the room are neglected, the office chair is broken and the soundproofing is useless. That room is also just behind the reception so you hear the reception bell and nightclub if that isn’t enough to turn you down and destroy your night sleep. They provide you ear plugs but they are useless and cheap so you will still hear the noise. We initially booked 5 nights but canceled everything after the first night of no sleep and went somewhere decent. For the price of the night, you can easily find somewhere better and get a good experience of Arequipa.Avoid at all cost
Tessa VO: I would not recommend this place. We payed for a room with a view (a balcony) and the view was very limited. This was however not the worst. Around 8PM the music in the neighbourhood starts to get really loud. But like REALLY. We did not sleep well at this place. Around 4AM the music stops. So prepare for a very bad night.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Shomel: Great accommodation that looks at the little things such as organizing tours for you, having showers you can use after checking out and organizing a breakfast for you even at 3am.The bars surrounding can be a little loud so be aware of that
Iris Zoellner: I requested a refund of the advance payment from booking. The lady at the reception did not help us at all. I do not recommend it.
Pierangela Espichán Curioso: Very well located. The room was as they offered me with a balcony facing the street. The breakfast 10/10 as well as the attention.
dorota duchnowska: Sąsiedztwo dyskoteki, całą noc bardzo głośno
Luis Linares Coronado: Everything's good.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value …More
Harumi Pereda Pascal: Very good place, good location, good attention, but I could recommend that they improve the television signal, it is not clear. Another detail is that you can hear the noise of the nearby discos. But highly recommended, cozy. It has an incredible view of the volcanoes 🇵🇪Rooms: Buena distribuciónNearby activities: Discotecas, comidas y plaza de armas.Safety: Bastante seguro.Walkability: Tranquilo.Food & drinks: Desayuno variado y rico.
Juan Antonio Silva Polar: Very good service and complete facilities.
Victoria Buet: .

Pame P. V.: If you're wondering where to stay in Arequipa, look no further than Costa del Mar, one of the best hotels in Peru. Conveniently located near the main square, this hotel offers impeccable cleanliness and exceptional comfort. The peaceful and quiet ambiance inside is perfect for a relaxing stay. The hotel boasts extensive green areas, including a courtyard with a more than 100-year-old turtle, adding a unique charm to the property. Additionally, the hotel features a spacious dining room offering delicious meals, and a cozy pub with a variety of options to suit everyone's tastes.
Samson Wong: Probably known as one of the best hotels in Arequipa. The hotel has been around for a while and sits just on the outskirts of the main town. It’s about a 15 min walk into the main attractions. Although a little dated, the room was comfortable and spacious. Shower was a little weak but fine. Breakfast was a large spread with a lot of options buffet style. They have a large turtle in the grounds too. Staff super friendly! The chap who picked us up from the airport was incredible (Edwin?).

Palla Boutique Hotel: what do users think?
Deb Reyes: Wonderful hotel in a fantastic location. The hotel is locted in a historic house which was renovated in a classy way being modern yet respectful of it's history. The staff was amazing, attentive of every detail and very willing to accommodate our every need. The terrace with a view of the volcanoes is spectacular, with very complete breakfast and all you can drink tea and coffee assortment. Upon our departure, a guest in my party forgot a silver bracelet, the staff proceeded to call us and did every effort to return it. Very highly recommended!
roselin cepeda: I chose this hotel because of the location, the view from the terrace and the good score it had on booking but when I was staying and eating I realized that the food and drink menu was very limited and the restaurant and terrace service closed at 9pm.It is not a very busy hotel. It was a quiet and safe stay.
Jaime Manuel Santillana Reyna: Extraordinary service, very good rooms and in a quiet area and close to the city center.
Alejandra K: Excellent experience, The staff has a perfect treatment, very helpful and cares about making the guest feel better than at home. The facilities go hand in hand with good treatment and the location very close to the main square allows you to go on foot to visit the iconic site of the white city.
Javier Alva: Excellent facilities, very elementary service, good breakfast but not enough staff to attend to, they actually make an effort, but good wishes do not replace training
Patrizia De Filippis: Molto elegante in una ottima posizione, centrale
Pierre BERIA: Je suis situé.Bonnes prestations
Pablo Casals Vilar: Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Arequipa. The room was very spacious and beautiful. They left us a detail for our honeymoon!Highly recommended.
Chris Herzog: Good hotel with very clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated this services. One little downside was, that our room was small for the price of the hotel.

Liliana Trapp: Very good experience at Palla Boutique Hotel. The very attentive staff from the reception make you feel at home. The room had a view of a parking lot but the rooftop of the hotel is something else. Appreciating the Sunset with a few cocktails is unforgettable. Good quality of the bedding and the heating needs to be turned on because the room was somewhat freezing. The breakfast very good. Totally recommended.
Martijn Schoenmaker: Really nice hotel. Great breakfast on the rooftop terrace and super friendly personal. We only stayed one night, but I do recommend staying at least two nights over hereRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rowdy Bryant: Mooi hotel.
Anonymous: We stayed one night at Palla Boutique Hotel and enjoyed it to the fullest! The hotel has an amazing design, beautifully furnished rooms that are very clean and have everything you need to feel home away from home. Staff is very friendly and attentive at any time. We also discovered the breathtaking rooftop which is most probably the only 360° view rooftop in Arequipa with an amazing view on the Andean mountains!I encourage everyone that have an overnight stay in Arequipa to book Palla! It was an unforgettable stay and we look forward to come back soon.
Kévin Marin: Stunning rooftop with panoramic view of surrounding. Locations at walking distance from city center is perfect and common area is really nice with apparent typical volcanic white stone. But our rooms had no view, very noisy fridge and lots of problems with hot water. Unacceptable for this price. Staff was really helpful and friendly however

David CB: Totally worthWe went to Reserva nacional de salinas y aguada blanca as part of a tour to the Cañón del Colca. The views are impressive: volcanoes, llamas and vicuñas... breathtaking.Since we were doing a bus tour, we didn't really trek around the park, just small walks. But think about good trekking shoes if you're spending time there. And also, beware of the heights!

Jenny Marcela Vega Herrera: It is an indescribable place, a must for those who visit Arequipa. You can hire a full day tour and there is no regret.

GonChalo Sotelo: Beautiful space, where we can observe impressive landscapes, the salt lake and take good photos in perspective, in the rainy season you can take mirror-like photos. You can also see animals in the area such as vicuñas, Vizcachas, etc.
Michele Mosca (Peru Paradise Travel): Spettacolare e abitata da camelidi peruviano.
Rolf Pinto López: Arequipa hybrid supply source
MARIA ELIZABETH: Wonderful!!!
Edinson Samar Calderon: Awesome! Like all reserves in Peru. If you like to admire landscapes and natural formations, you will love it! But the bad part is always brought by humans, I think there should be a control or park ranger to prevent visitors from harassing birds and animals. People think they are on their little beach in Lima and can leave garbage wherever they want 😡 - "He who does not love his country does not love his mother"
Melquiades Alvarez: I love the landscapes of the reserve.
Carlos Villanueva: I would like to know the place
Jan Svartberg: The National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada BlancaIt covers an approximate area of 366,936 hectares, was considered a National Reserve since 1979 and is located in the Arequipa region and part of Moquegua; at a height ranging from 3,500 to 6,050 meters above sea level. The name given to the reserve is due to the presence of the Laguna de las Salinas and the Aguada Blanca pampas that are included in its territory.Within this National Reserve it is important to find at least 70 different types of birds, among which it is worth noting the presence of parihuanas, both the common flamingo and the Andean parihuana or also the James Parihuana. In this reserve you can also find the Andean condor, which is considered the largest flying bird in the world. It is important among the bird species that are in danger or at risk of extinction, in addition to the condor and the Andean flamingo mentioned: the suri, which is a species of Andean ostrich. The reserve is also important because of the presence of the Mauka stone forest, which has become a natural habitat for the country's vizcachas. Different species of mammals are also important within the National Reserve, a total of 24 that inhabit this area and among which it is worth highlighting the alpaca, the vicuña, as well as endangered animals such as the guanaco and the taruca. There are other types of animals such as amphibians, reptiles and fish that together with the above give an average of 185 different vertebrate animal species. In addition to the aforementioned endangered animals, there is also the Peruvian logirostro bat, an endemic animal to the area and classified as critically endangered. The Andean cat is also another animal that is in a situation of danger to the same degree as the guanaco, the manchaco and the white-tailed muleteer. In the place there are also five animal species in the category of vulnerable and 10 in the state of almost threatened. There are different types of flora in the reserve, including an average of 358 types of plants, two of which are yet to be verified and which together form an important part of the conservation of the entire ecosystem. There are different ones in a threatened situation such as those that are used by the inhabitants as firewood, decorative, medicinal or ritual use, among which are: the yareta and the queñoa. There are also plants within the area that are nationally in “Critically Endangered”, as is the case of Chersodoma arequipensis.Among the activities that can be carried out within the National Reserve are such as: mountaineering, as well as hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, as well as the presence of different fairs that are organized in the place. In order to reach this reserve, there are three recognized access routes, these are: the Arequipa-Yura and Yura-Juliaca highways, which take approximately an hour and a half; there is also the Arequipa-Chiguata-Puno highway, which takes about three hours; In addition to the old Cabrerías highway, which is 60 kilometers to the control of Cañahuas and lasts an hour and a half.
osmar lajo: Beautiful place
