Silvia Resio: Stupenda...sono rimasta a bocca aperta dentro la Cappella di Sant'Ignazio. UN CAPOLAVORO. Le foto sono proibite con il biglietto in regalo si può avere una cartolina che ritrae un particolare della cupola che è un trionfo della natura sia del mondo animale che vegetale sembra di entrare in una foresta. Anche il resto della struttura è notevole ma per me questa è una meraviglia che deve essere vista...tutto sempre grazie ad Alejandro nostra guida di Perù inside out.

LDGPJCSF: It has a Latin cross floor plan and consists of three naves, deep side chapels, a transept and a dome on pendentives. The temple and the façade, like the rest of the colonial monuments in the city of Arequipa, are made of ashlar stone, which is porous, very white, very easy to carve and the one that is best suited for ornamental work.The main facade, in mestizo baroque style, stands out as one of the masterpieces —head of the series— of South American colonial decoration. It is distinguished by treating the relief on the surface and not in depth. The main facade of the church was rebuilt in 1698 after an earthquake.Although it belongs to the second half of the 17th century, its influence extends throughout the 18th century, not only in Arequipa, but also in the Peruvian territory. The novelty that begins with this flat decoration is to use native elements. American motifs, plants, animals and resurrected themes from pre-Hispanic mythology mixed with European motifs, which cover the façade with true horror of emptiness.Inside, the main altar stands out, one of the most beautiful in Arequipa, which boasts in the central part one of the best paintings, The Virgin with the Child, by the Italian painter Bernardo Bitti, who arrived in Peru in 1575.

Pingui: Un lugar bonito, pequeño, es iglesia antigua bonita arquitectura, está en la plaza de Yanahuara, y. Muy cerca al mirador.
José Panta C.: Se encuentra situada a un costado de la Plaza Principal del distrito, está construida en su totalidad de sillar y a diferencia de las demás construcciones de la Villa que son de corte clásico o neoclásico, esta destaca por su recargado estilo barroco. Este templo erigido bajo la advocación de San Juan Bautista fue hecho a base de sillar y su construcción culmino en el año 1750, conservando como edificación originaria de mediados del siglo XVIII su arco de coro alto ornamentado de follajería y su portada principal.

Jesus Angulo: "BBVA and Culture"Beautiful house declared Cultural Patrimony of the Nation, with an original ashlar façade, it is located on the first block of San Francisco street, which receives its name from one of its owners, General Domingo Carlos Tristán del Pozo. Currently this house is the headquarters of the BBVA, which in addition to being a bank agency fulfills the purpose of being a cultural center, where in the first courtyard there are three permanent exhibition rooms, presenting works by Arequipa authors belonging to the Bank's collection, another room dedicated to Arequipa watercolors. Works by Jorge Vinatea Reinoso and Teodoro Núñez Ureta among others are exhibited.
Jan Svartberg: Beautiful Casona Arequipeña. The history of the house dates back to the 18th century when it was built by Domingo Carlos Tristán del Pozo and his wife Ana María Carazas in 1738.
Jose Ignacio Terán: This mansion is pure Arequipeño style. Located next to the Basilica Cathedral and the Plaza de Armas, it is open during the hours that the financial institution inside it does.It also houses a museum with a profusion of works of art that are owned by the BBVA Continental art gallery, which deserves to be visited.
Ilario Bonomi: Ha una storia molto lunga questa casa, che risale al 1738, e presenta bellissime decorazioni dei portali (quelli interni si possono vedere accedendo alle mostre che il palazzo ospita o sbirciando dal cancello nei momenti di chiusura). Da non perdere anche i doccioni.
