Tim Delaney: Basic hostel located just a few blocks from the main plaza. The rooms are very simple. I had a private room with a private bath. The were no windows and felt damp inside. The common areas are open and spacious and the upper patio is a must see during sunset. The staff were very friendly and translated in english very well. The breakfast is basic, day old bread with butter and jam and a cup of coffee or tea. Better to go outside for a full meal.

Vapali Pou: We booked the double room with private bathroom. There was a 24hour reception. The room was big and there was a lot of space. It was very close to the city center. Friendly staff.We were cold during our stay. The breakfast only had two options. Our room and bathroom could have been cleaner. They didn't clean our room and we stayed 4 days there. We paid a whole day even though we arrived at 5 in the morning. For what is was we would expect a cheaper price.

Manly Matt Schulman: Highly recommended. Although almost every hotel we stayed in on our Peru trip was a Casa Andina property, this was the best of them. The location is close enough to the center of town to be easily walkable, but out of its busiest area. It is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff was helpful and polite. As a side note, we came with rudimentary Spanish, but didn't need it here -- the staff's English was far better than our Spanish. The breakfast was impressive, even including a pleasant performance by a local musician. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and they even included a little nosh as a treat for our anniversary. Certainly a fine place to stay when you visit Arequipa.

Natalie Allen: Unfortunately we arrived early morning (5.30am). Luckily the kind man let us in and explained to us that we are very early and may have to pay for an extra night- not a problem. We were moved to a slightly bigger room with a double bed.Still no private bathroom, we stayed here for one night and was met by the man again demanding more money for the early check in- I get it, but where is the discount for not having a private bathroom which we have paid for?The man has really tried to con us here because we are foreigners and demanded more money. We are contacting our platform which we booked through.Like I said with the stars, the location is good but the demanding and hassling for money left us feeling unsafe. WiFi was very hit and miss.Rooms: Very basic. Comfortable.

Bref, on paiera quand même plus que prévu.Pour avoir discuté avec d'autres clients de passage durant notre séjour, la méthode semble être une habitude...Après ça, deux semaines à la limite du mépris.. Pas un bonjour, ne nous adresse la parole que pour marmonner sous son masque des questions sous forme de reproches /“c'est à vous le linge ? -Non. -Ouais parce qu'on a pas le droit de faire de lessive hein faut payer.“ /, réveillés le matin par la porte, non verrouillable de l'intérieur, qui s'ouvre sur des voyageurs à qui il avait indiqué notre chambre (...) pas d'excuses ni même regard de sa part en passant derrière les clients confus, jusqu'au check-out où il récupère les clefs, puis passe 20min au tel, nous bien devant lui en attente, avant de raccrocher et de nous demander si on désire autre chose, que sinon on peut y aller (eh beh merci).On a changé de crémerie depuis, et les autres auberges ont démontrées à quel point ce monsieur était un cas isolé : que des personnes incroyables depuis.Bref, passez votre chemin, il y a bien d'autres logements et surtout bien d'autres personnes à rencontrer sur Arequipa.
