Located next to the Basilica Cathedral and the Plaza de Armas, it is open during the hours that the financial institution inside it does.It also houses a museum with a profusion of works of art that are owned by the BBVA Continental art gallery, which deserves to be visited.

The monastery is very big, and there are signs in almost every room explaining the significance of certain tools/spaces in English and Spanish. Perfect place to learn some history.Only downside were the prices, they are quite high at 45PEN for an adult.

Mimi Amaru Illari: A museum that interacts with you. It is divided into several rooms that represent stages of the writer's life. The funny thing is that MVLL was born and lived in this house for only one year. In each room there is an audiovisual presentation accompanied by the interpretation of the guide, which was great. He explained everything to us in detail and clarity and with a lot of enthusiasm, which makes the visit even more pleasant. He took photos of us and encouraged us to interact with the space. The entrance costs 20 soles per person and from my own experience I can say that it is worth it. There you live a unique experience. I recommend it to each individual interested in the author, his life and work, but also to each one who wants to know more about Arequipa's history.

Leonel Basso: An amazing place. We traveled from Argentina by car and we did not plan to go through Arequipa. We arrived at night and found this hotel. They helped us with everything right away. Super friendly and willing people. The place is beautiful, spacious and beautiful. Thank you for helping us and taking care of us so well. We spent some beautiful days there.

Ricardo Rojas: They really deserve 5 stars, good service, hospitality, closeness, disposition, facilities, cleanliness and the breakfast is really delicious. They supported me and were present from before my arrival and until when I had checked out of the hotel they were willing to support me with a mishap that I had during the trip and as I am a foreigner I had no one else to turn to. The understanding is greatly appreciated and that they can make you feel at home.Keep it up and obviously 100% recommended, I'll be back for sure

Not bad except on a festival night!Safety: Felt totally safe at all hours.Staff were outstanding.Walkability: Half block from the main plaza and very easy walking to all the best sights, lively with restaurants. Really this historical area is THE place to stay!Noteworthy details: They have a cute breakfast room and made to order breakfast options were very good. Also a deck off break fast room if you prefer eating outside.Bonus: two excellent rooftop decks. We bought bevvies at the market and loved sitting up there for breaks in the afternoon or evening.They arranged for a very nice transfer car to/from airport. Excellent option.When we went on our 16 hour trek to Colca Canyon that started at 3:30 am they prepared a meal to go for us ready at reception!Kept our luggage after we checked out.All in all excellent service. Gomez Addams: Very good little restaurant that offers quality food at a reasonable price. I ate lunch, had the menu del día, and it was a large portion, so much that I was pretty full after the entrada sopa. Good quality at a super value.
Brooke Szucs: Awesome find here! We went twice. I really liked the Arequipa Rocoto Relleno! The menu is super cheap and soooooo much food. Straight off the menu is also great! No losing. The courtyard is cute and cosy.

Not very polite or helpful.The lomo saltado and the rice was average.But the apple strudel was really good.Mixed emotions about this place ...maybe worth giving it another try...

Tigi Saron Manfroi: This hotel is one of the best and busiest hotels for its location, with enough space and cleanliness. We have traveled to many places, but we have never seen workers as arrogant as the ones that work in this specific hotel. Without Roberto from the reception and José from the restaurant, this hotel would have been the worst place to stay.But I don't want to leave without mentioning the view of the cathedral from that point is impeccable especially at night.
