Gomez Addams: I did the two day Colca Canyon tour, with guide Victor Hugo and driver, Armando?, and it was very good.Victor was a fountain of information and obviously takes pride in his work.The tour was well-paced and we had sufficient time in the most important areas: near the canyon and in the highlands.The only downsides were the hotel, which was basically a one star hotel, and the second day’s lunch, which was not good and kind of made me sick.We got to see many condors at the canyon and that made the trip for me!

Josef Roth: A wonderful excursion with guide Victur Rivera and driver Felipe. We had booked the two-day tour Colca Canyon, it started in the morning, after being picked up from our hotel, Victor started right away. Der Bus war top, sehr bequeme Sitze zum Zurücklehnen, und der Fahrer (Homer) hat seinen Job auch super gemacht. Sehr überzeugend das ganze Paket!

Eloy Gilles: Je confirme les avis positifs concernant le professionnalisme de cet agence. Pour moi un jeune de 71 printemps le Chachani option 1 jour.Mon objectif étant un 6000m, chacun les siens, nous sommes parvenus avec ma guide Carole très compétente à 6035 m pour faire la "jolie photo" sur le versant Arequipa. Régulièrement il y eu échange par téléphone satellitaire un élément sécuritaire appréciable.Au retour le 4x4 venant nous chercher eu un problème mécanique. Immédiatement l'intervention du sattelitaire et la réactivité de l'équipe envoya un second véhicule. Pour conclure une agence se juge aussi sur sa capacité à résoudre les problèmes. Bonne et longue continuation à cette agence.

C’est même la seule agence à avoir une tente commune pour manger au camp de base. Les équipements (y compris en prêt) sont de très bonne qualité.Le guide « Yoan/Juan » était juste exceptionnel : hyper attentif à chacun, soucieux du moindre détail, on s’est sentis en parfaite sécurité à la montée comme à la descende.5 étoiles pour le guide sans hésiter et pour cette expérience exceptionnelle !

Nicolas Roger: Nous vous réalisé à 2 avec Quechua Explorer l'Ascension du Chachani (fin mars), prévue initialement sur 2 jours, nous l'avons finalement faite en 1 jour (départ 1h30 de Arequipa) et ce après les recommandations du guide, données la veille lors du briefing. Notre guide Iván a fait preuve d'un professionnalisme remarquable nous mettant immédiatement en confiance, cette expédition étant loin d'être une simple balade étant données les efforts (physiques et mentaux) à fournir sur une seule journée, le tout à haute altitude. Ce fut une journée dure mais parfaitement encadrée par Iván, que nous recommandons à 100% ainsi que l'agence qui nous a parue également très professionnelle (amabilité du personnel, grande réactivité, large choix d'excursions, possibilité de louer du matériel). Si l'occasion se présente un jour nous n'hésiterons pas à refaire une excursion avec eux (l'Acancagua en Argentine, qui sait!).Nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu la vue dégagée sur Arequipa et le Misti une fois au sommet mais les paysages alentours durant la montée sont magnifiques (voir photos).

Diana Bite: Had a good experience doing Chachani with Quechua. Ivan explained a lot of stuff to me about the options I have and what the climbs are like and I got quoted the price S/350 (another quote I had was for S/280 with a different operator) for a group of minimum 3 but there's was only two of us and I didn't want to wait another day so I ended up splitting the cost with the other person but the agency was quick to coordinate with both of us and I got to hike the next morning even if I only showed up at the office late afternoon. They messaged me about an hour later to confirm there's a group of only 2 and we had a briefing that evening as well.We got Rony as a guide and he was real helpful, pacing and reassuring us. We communicated in a mixture of 3 languages but he was patient with us. He also cooked for us and his soup was good (pasta less so, the tuna sauce needed more volume).

Compared with other agencies the prices are very decent + Quechua is not only an agency selling tours, but actually organizing them. You can tell they have great expertise in doing mountain tours like this and our guide was great. Most of the equipment you'll need (sleeping bag, tent etc.) was also included in the tour price. Things that were not included (e.g. down jacket) were of decent quality.The climb to Chachani itself was tough - but if I'd go again, I'd definitely go with Quechua Explorers!

The guide Fernando spoke perfect English and was super responsible and knowledgeable about biking, the mountains, geology and Peru in general. They make their own downhill trails. Bikes were from known brands (a.o. Specialized), only the gears were not great. Still, highly recommended.

Manly Matt Schulman: Highly recommended. Although almost every hotel we stayed in on our Peru trip was a Casa Andina property, this was the best of them. The location is close enough to the center of town to be easily walkable, but out of its busiest area. It is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff was helpful and polite. As a side note, we came with rudimentary Spanish, but didn't need it here -- the staff's English was far better than our Spanish. The breakfast was impressive, even including a pleasant performance by a local musician. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and they even included a little nosh as a treat for our anniversary. Certainly a fine place to stay when you visit Arequipa.

Albert Gol: The two-day tour of the Colca Canyon was incredible, as well as very complete. On the way you are making stops to see alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. Then at a viewpoint with beautiful views and finally you arrive at Chivay. There you eat at a pretty good buffet, it must be said, and with many varieties of food from the country. In the afternoon if you want to go to a natural hot springs, the place is idyllic next to a river with an old stone bridge. And at night you are going to have dinner in a place where they play typical music from here and put on a show with traditional dances. Then you go to rest and the next day you get up early to see the condor fly in the Colca canyon. We got lucky and could see 3 in the distance, we wish they would have gotten closer but this is how it goes. And it was also a little cloudy at first, but it still has spectacular views. We then ate at the buffet and came back. Highly recommended.

Tanya Leung: Victor was really responsive and helpful. He helped me book onto the Colca Canyon 2 day / 1 night trip in the evening to set off the day after. There was good communication and hotel pick up was within the allocated time frame (3:00am - 3:30am).It was a bit confusing when we got to Cabanaconde as to who (the guide) I'd be doing the trek with, as I was in a van with others and we all got split up into different groups afterwards and we were sitting around for a bit waiting to be told while other groups had already set off. Turns out there was an incident the guide had to go deal with. It was nice that he remembered everyone's names and made an effort to talk to everyone.The viewpoints were great and trek was of a good pace. Seeing the stars at night at the lodge was magical. I would like to have seen the guide give more context + commentary about what we were seeing, and the meals can be improved. There was also good communication from the guide as I exactly knew what we'd be doing and where I had to be when. When you get to the lodge, you won't know who you'll be sharing a room with as many groups stay over at the same accommodation.I would happily join another tour with them.
