Lya Mendoza del Solar: The place is very nice to listen to live music with a drink and a snack. The brochettes are delicious. The pisco sour doesn't convince me but the mojito is fine. The calm and welcoming atmosphere invites those of us who are past our thirties in good weather to come back and enjoy the different and varied shows.
Ted Williams: The Casona7 restaurant provides several hours of entertainment from 4 energetic dancers dressed in national Peruvian costumes, along with a delicious dinner served in a classic room (Arequipa white sillar stone interior providing good acoustics). We were impressed with the quality and extended duration of the dances. A narrator explains the historical context before each set, the dancers perform on a close stage, and then some come down into the audience table area. Behind the stage, a screen shows colorful pictures of Peru between the dance sets. The dinner and dance combination is at a fixed price and provides a good value. Casona7 was a highlight of our visit to Peru and Arequipa.

Stev: During my stay the food was very good but the service could be a lot improved.We arrived around 6pm and although it was cold we could not sit inside. This is only possible as of 7pm. I was freezing. They did not use the heating bulbs. Service was taking a long time to take our order, although our drinks were empty they never offered a re-order. Also they never asked us whether everything was good, also not when we paid. Seemed very inattentive to us as customers overall. Besides that, a great place. The recipes are superb.

Timothy J Sayer: I found this a little disappointing for a few reasons.Having not been able to get in to the Lima restaurant, I was keen to come here and try some of Gaston's food.The chupe Andino was nice and had pops of flavour that I enjoyed, having not had anything similar before. I had no serviettes or cutlery apart from a spoon to eat the corn with which was a hassle.I then had the pulpo a la brasa, and I honestly can't understand why this had no flavour, even with olives and capers in the dish. The chimichurri had zero flavour which I don't understand how that's even possible and if I was blindfolded, I would never have guessed that the octopus was grilled. It was sadly an oily, flavourless dish.My side plate, bread basket and butter still remained after the main was cleared even though I'd finished before the starter arrived. I also waited to be offered deserts but the offer didn't come.I so wanted to have a great experience here, but sadly I didn't.
Luke Costa: We were literally just looking to try chicha de guiñapo, a fermented purple corn drink that only comes from Arequipa, and this was one of the only places we could find that sold it.Although more of a restaurant, the staff allowed us to sit at the bar whilst then providing us a complimentary selection of local breads and butters. Excellent hospitality and a beautiful restaurant.
